Number bonds
KS1, practice number bonds by clicking here
Number bonds means knowing all of the pairs of numbers that add up to make a number, for example:
Number bonds to 10:
0 + 10 = 10
1 + 9 = 10
2 + 8 = 10
3 + 7 = 10
4 + 6 = 10
5 + 5 = 10
Can you see the pattern?
Did you know...it doesn't matter what order you put the numbers in an add sum, the answer will always be the same... 3 + 7 = 10 or 7 + 3 = 10 . A great tip!!!
If you need a challenge, try working out number bonds to 20!
